alllll-of-the-spectacular: My two cents: Yes, a ton of soldiers are completely neglected because they’re not important celebrity people. But bringing Whitney Houston’s status down to “someone who is famous for going to rehab”? That’s a fucking low blow. it’s a low blow that needed to be thrown. she was a pariah for years before she died for exactly that reason: she killed her entire career with drugs and booze and became a complete trainwreck that nobody wanted anything to do with for any reason. now she’s dead and suddenly we all love her again and all her sins are forgiven? meanwhile, there are people who’ve actually done something for the world besides smoke away their careers fro the last decade, and they don’t get any recognition whatsoever for what they do? that’s fucking wrong.
